Philips presented a new monitor in China under the designation 24B2N2200G, intended for users who are looking for an affordable but capable screen for daily work and gaming.
It is a 23.8-inch model with an IPS panel and Full HD resolution, the price of which is around 90 euros. The screen comes with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 16:9 with a density of 93 pixels per inch. IPS technology ensures good viewing angles and solid color reproduction, while the contrast is 1500:1, and the maximum brightness reaches 350 nits.
One of the main advantages of this model is support for a refresh rate of 144 Hz, which is available via HDMI 1.4 and DisplayPort 1.2 ports. Additionally, this monitor offers a 4ms response time, which helps reduce image blur during faster gaming scenes. The panel supports 8-bit color depth and can display up to 16.7 million colors. Philips claims coverage of 111 percent of the sRGB and 101 percent of the NTSC spectrum, which makes it suitable for office work and occasional content editing, reports Computer.com.
To protect the eyes, technologies such as reduced blue light, DC dimming to eliminate flickering and EasyRead operating mode, which facilitates reading with a paper-like display, are incorporated. The monitor comes with built-in 2 W stereo speakers that are sufficient for basic use. The stand allows for tilt adjustment in the range from -5 to 25 degrees, and the VESA solution for the wall (100 x 100 mm) is also supported. In terms of connectivity, HDMI, DisplayPort and VGA ports are available, allowing easy connection to various devices. There is currently no information on availability in markets outside of China.
