Within the framework of the 59th annual meeting of the Asian Development Bank held in Samarkand, People’s Bank brought relations with major partners in the field of international finance and technology to a new level. Within the framework of the forum, the bank signed a memorandum of strategic cooperation with Mastercard.
This agreement is aimed at expanding digital services and introducing innovative solutions in the financial ecosystem of Uzbekistan.
Yasemin Bedir, Mastercard’s director for Eastern European countries, praised this cooperation. He noted that participation in the annual forum of the Asian Development Bank in Samarkand is a great honor for the company.

“Today we signed a memorandum of understanding with Xalq Bank. This document reflects the new stage of our cooperation and creates a solid basis for the formation of new portfolios, the deeper introduction of financial products and the development of digitization processes,” he said.

Within the framework of cooperation, it is planned to develop a new generation retail financial product under the name “Khalq Card”. According to the bank, this card is formed based on market analysis and customer needs and includes individual financial offers for each user.

It is also planned to introduce a modern credit scoring system based on artificial intelligence together with Mastercard. New technology makes it possible to make lending decisions in a short time with high accuracy, expand data-based lending practices and increase the popularity of financial services.

People’s Bank assesses this agreement as an important step towards strengthening the bank’s position in the international financial market, accelerating digital transformation and providing new generation financial services for the country’s population.
