THE LEAD PASTOR of the Kingstown Baptist Church(KBC), Cecil Richards, has advised workers at the St. Vincent Electricity Services Limited (VINLEC) not to just collect a pay check and go home, but to be instrumental even if they feel unrecognised at work.
Richards made these remarks during an opening ceremony of VINLEC’S annual Environmental Health and Safety(EHS) Awareness Month, which was held at the church on April 27, 2026 under the theme “Unmute, Unblock, Unwind:Your Personal Safety Begins with a Healthy Mind”.
Pastor Richards said he has very high regards for Vinlec and that he usually commends the organisation during his radio programme on Boom SVG.
“And that’s simply true on account of my interaction with the folks there. Whether you come to the church to do something, or I meet you in the street, or frequently, I come to the office there and I interact with you, it has been nothing but top class; and I hope you do that for everybody too.”
