Until June 10, more than 23,300 packages with ballots from outside Kosovo were included in the evaluation process, of which 22,601 were approved, while 755 were rejected, the Central Election Commission announced.
According to the CEC, this process started on June 9, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. and aims to verify whether these packages were sent by registered voters.
“Until the end of Wednesday (June 10, 2026), more than 23 thousand 300 packages were included in the evaluation process, of which 22,601 were approved, while 755 were rejected. The most obvious reason why these packages were rejected is because in 699 cases the registration certificate is missing, a document with unique data, which the registered voter accepts from the CEC”, it is stated in notification.
At the end of this evaluation process, the CEC will publish the data on the number of packages with presumed ballots, which will be counted in the Counting and Results Center. On Monday, June 8, the process of withdrawing the packages with ballots belonging to voting outside Kosovo, namely voting by mail, was completed. Ballot packages were withdrawn from CEC mailboxes in 22 different countries as well as from the CEC mailbox in Kosovo. From 23 mailboxes, more than 85,700 packages of supposed ballots were withdrawn, some of which were brought to Kosovo.
During the registration period (May 6 – May 17, 2026), the number of citizens registered to vote by mail in the early elections for the Assembly of Kosovo is 104,480 voters.
