The National Patronage of the Blind held its traditional Spring Afternoon in the Festive Room of the Santo Domingo Country Club, an activity that had the purpose of raising funds for its blindness rehabilitation and prevention programs, initiatives aimed at promoting inclusion and improving the quality of life of people with visual disabilities.
The meeting brought together distinguished ladies and gentlemen in an afternoon that combined solidarity, art and entertainment.
One of the highlights was the Santiago designer’s fashion show. Rafael Riverowho presented his collection “Paris”, characterized by its elegance and sophistication, and included the participation of blind people on the catwalk, in a gesture that reaffirms the value of inclusion.
The activity also had the presence of the ambassador of Japan in the Dominican Republic, Hayakawa Osamuaccompanied by his wife, Hayakawa Hisako, whose attendance highlighted the ties of cooperation and friendship with the institution.
Attendees enjoyed the performances of Diomary La Mala and the orchestra Miriam Cruz, who enlivened the evening with a repertoire that maintained the enthusiasm of the public. Likewise, raffles and commercial activities were held in support of the cause.
