The prime minister Christian Mickoski stated that the Government works dedicated to the realization of the strategic goals related to the development of the state and its European integration, stressing that the priority remains the protection of state interests and the building of good neighborly relations.
Answering a journalist’s question about expectations from the announced meetings of the president Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova and the Minister of Foreign Affairs Timcho Mutsunski with the Bulgarian vice president Iliana YotovaMickoski said that the Government has a clear plan and strategy that it is continuously working on.
– We work thoroughly, dedicatedly, honestly and hard. The results are slowly coming and the strategy we have is starting to be realized – said the Prime Minister.
He added that as a person he expects good neighborly relations with all neighboring countries, and as the President of the Government he will do everything in his power to protect the interests of the citizens, the state and the Macedonian identity.
Mickoski emphasized that good neighborliness must be based on mutual respect and the principle of two-way communication, because, as he said, two sides are needed for any progress.
Regarding the European integration process, the Prime Minister said that the Government never promised quick and easy solutions, but hard work and setting things on a sound basis.
– We did not promise miracles, because we are not miracle workers. We promised work and that is what we are doing. Maybe some expect faster results, but it is important to set the processes so that future generations will not face the problems we have today – stressed Mickoski.
