The Tobago Divisional Task Force (TDTF) conducted a targeted pre-dawn raid and search operation in Mason Hall on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, resulting in the arrest of one individual and the seizure of a significant sum of cash.
The exercise took place between 3:15 am and 4:15 am at Belmont Farm Road, Mason Hall, within the Scarborough Police District. Officers carried out the operation under the State of Emergency Powers Regulations based on intelligence relating to the possible storage of illegal firearms, ammunition and narcotics.
During the exercise, officers recovered a significant sum of cash at the premises. One man was arrested and is assisting police with enquiries into the origin of the money. Investigations are ongoing to determine the total value of the cash and the circumstances surrounding the find.
The TDTF continues to intensify operations targeting priority offenders and disrupting criminal networks. Police say these efforts form part of a broader strategy to strengthen safety and security across Tobago.
