by Marco Lodoli A great turning point in teaching was the arrival of the Lim, i.e. the electronic blackboard, in the classroom. In the village, where I taught for many years, very few students have books and so it is not easy to explain a song from Hell or a story from the Decameron. But the electronic blackboard solves the problem in an instant: you connect, search for the song or story on the internet and, abracadabra, it immediately appears in large characters and everyone can read and follow. And then you can show the kids a film that tells about an era, a moment, a historical passage; if chosen well, it can be a step forward in understanding. Many students, for example, are captivated by Ingmar Bergman’s The Seventh Seal: Death Playing Chess with the Returning Knight…
