In the ceremony organized for this purpose, Abdul Sattar Muslim, the Minister of Mines and Petroleum of the said province, said that this mine is located on 20 hectares of land and marble will be extracted from it for five years. In the first phase, about 50 thousand tons of marble will be extracted.
According to Farah Mines and Petroleum Emirate, 80,000 tons of marble will be extracted in the second phase and 100,000 tons of marble will be extracted in the following years, and about 400 Afghanis will be collected from each ton of extraction.
In the ceremony organized for this purpose, Dr. Jannat Gul Jannati, the manager of the contracting company, said that 500 to 1000 tons of white marble will be extracted from this mine every day and 35 people will be employed in the first phase.
In addition, in the field of marble processing, 132 people will be employed in three factories being built in Farah and Herat provinces.
It is worth noting that the extraction of salt mine has already started in Farah province.
