Family members and residents say they are shaken after a 40-year-old man was shot and killed in Laborie early Wednesday morning.
Relatives identified the victim as Shakai Laurent. Reports say he was shot near the Kennedy Highway and Laborie Bypass.
Residents told St. Lucia Times they were awakened by the sound of multiple gunshots.
Details surrounding the circumstances of the shooting remain unclear.
