Manu Samoa have named their first squad of 2026 for this year’s Nations Cup, which will be played during the July international window.
Headlining the squad are local talents Taunu’u Niulevaea and Warren Solomona, who have earned national selection after impressing on the international sevens circuit.
Both players have established themselves as key figures for Samoa Sevens and will now have the opportunity to showcase their abilities in the 15-man game.
Niulevaea and Solomona are currently competing in Samoa’s National Provincial Championship (NPC), with Niulevaea representing A’ana and Solomona turning out for Falealili.
Also included in the squad is Peter Umaga-Jensen, the nephew of former All Blacks stars Tana and Mike Umaga. The midfielder is currently playing in Japan after enjoying a successful Super Rugby career with the Hurricanes, which earned him a Test appearance for the All Blacks.
Umaga-Jensen, Solomona and Niulevaea will all have the opportunity to make their Manu Samoa debuts during the upcoming tour.
Head coach Lemalu Tusi Pisi has also called upon several experienced campaigners, including in-form Hurricanes halfback Ereatara Enari.
Enari has enjoyed an outstanding season for the Hurricanes, stepping up impressively following the injury to All Blacks halfback Cam Roigard. His performances have helped guide the Hurricanes to a strong regular-season finish at the top of the Super Rugby Pacific standings.

Moana Pasifika captain Miracle Fai’ilagi leads the forward pack, alongside experienced campaigners Sam Slade and Alamanda Motuga.

In the backline, D’Angelo Leuila returns after recovering from a shoulder injury and is joined by established internationals Duncan Paia’aua, Va’afauese Apelu-Maliko and Tuna Tuitama.
