Lieutenant General Saïd Chengriha, Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defence, Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army, on Saturday morning, honored the runner, Sergeant Major Contractor Djamel Sjatti, following his crowning, on September 13th, of this year, as world champion in the 800-meter race, within the activities of the Elite World Championships “Ultimate” in Budapest/Hungary.
Lieutenant General Saïd Chengriha took this opportunity to convey the congratulations of the President of the Republic, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and the Minister of National Defense to the world champion, for this historic achievement, which once again confirmed the stature of Algerian sports in this field.
The team also urged the first runner, Jamal Sajati, to exert more efforts in order to seize first place in the upcoming competitions and raise the flag of our country in various international sporting events.
For his part, the world champion, Djamel Sjati, expressed his gratitude and pride for the special care given to him by the High Command of the People’s National Army in particular, and to military sports in general, which contributed greatly to achieving this remarkable success, stressing on the same occasion his determination to continue working with all seriousness and determination to achieve more successes in the future.
