The Andorra la Vella river walk will soon have a new section between the Tobira bridge and the National Stadiumwhich will no longer force pedestrians to have to take this part of the route along the sidewalk that touches the road CG-1. The work has been more complex than the simple continuity of the river route behind the sports equipment because a channel wall has also been built on this right bank of the Valid. Work began in December of last year and the initial schedule predicted completion during this month of July. The Government he indicated that the opening of the passage is a matter of a few weeks.
The new section runs behind the National Stadium.
The work is the result of the collaboration between the Government and the common of the capitalwhich will pay part of the cost. Last October, the executive awarded the execution of the project to the company TP Units for a budget that was just over a million euros; the executive assumed 897,782.40 euros and the corporation the remaining 146,541.98 euros. As the executive defended at the time, the wall must contribute to improve hydraulic safety, protect the urban infrastructure and integrate the new pedestrian space into the landscape.
