MINSK, 18 June (BelTA) – Six individuals wounded in Bryansk Oblast are being evacuated to Belarus on the instructions of the president of Belarus, Healthcare Minister Aleksandr Khodzhayev told journalists, BelTA reports.
“The evacuation of our citizens, both the children and the adult, was initiated this morning, as soon as the situation and their medical condition allowed,” said Aleksandr Khodzhayev.
“At this moment, six injured persons are being evacuated. Among them, two are in serious condition: one child and one adult. The remaining four are in varying states of severity, but none are critical,” the minister said.
The boy who remains in serious condition underwent surgery performed by a joint team of specialists from Moscow, Bryansk and Belarus.
“The collective decision was made that they could be evacuated, and accordingly the evacuation commenced this morning,” the minister added.
