Once the first prize is achieved, what is the path?
Keep working! The contest means a great projection and media exposure, and from here many doors have opened for me, even in the musical field, since I’m also a singer and producer.
How are these disciplines combined?
One thing led to another. From a very young age I liked rap and hip-hop and due to the influence of the family – he was dedicated to cinema and computers – he already recorded his own songs. Casting at record companies, I was often selected for fashion-related subjects. Opportunities he couldn’t let slip. And now, three years ago I came to Europe, to Andorra, and from the first moment I started with a lot of activity with Modelsy.
Do you remember that first moment?
Just arrived, Yolanda, who runs the modeling agency, had a fashion show at the Roc Blanc d’Andorra and opened a casting call. I applied and it took me right away, no test at all!
And last year he managed to win the Eris.
A milestone more complex than it seems, because once you are exposed on the catwalk you cannot hide anything and if you are not prepared it can become a fragile stage for the person.
How is it prepared?
Many masterclasses. Then there is also physical training, something that is not negotiable under any circumstances. And the mental part. All the doubts and frailties you may have are exposed and it is not positive for the catwalk. I always say that before you conquer a stage, you must first rule yourself.
Have you ever been criticized for your decision to enter this world?
The family and all the people who know me, have seen me do this since I was little, so we can say that they are used to it. On the other hand, it’s true that there are people who care about what they say, but I don’t have that problem.
And they often say it’s a superficial world.
Each model has its own story and each brand represents a concept, a thought. When you see all the work, commitment and dedication behind it you realize that it’s not just about selling clothes, it’s about building a dream. And I feel great respect for any dream that is deposited in a person’s heart.
Are these the emotions that drive it?
What gives me the most satisfaction is inspiring people to believe that with commitment, discipline and perseverance, dreams come true.
