Pyongyang, April 26 (KCNA) — A football match between the Kalmaegi Team of the Navy and the Jebi Team of the Air Force of the Korean People’s Army took place on April 25 on the occasion of the founding anniversary of the Korean People’s Revolutionary Army (KPRA), the revolutionary holiday of the Korean people.
Among the spectators were Kim Jae Ryong and Ri Il Hwan, secretaries of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, No Kwang Chol, minister of National Defence of the DPRK, and other generals, officers and soldiers of the headquarters of the ministry, military and political commanding officers of the large combined units and service personnel of the Navy and the Air Force of the KPA.
The match was so keen all the time because of the competitive spirit of the players of the two teams which took part in the match, staking the honor of their services forming twin pillars of the KPA, and enthusiastic cheering.
The two teams tied 2:2 in the first and second halves of the match and the Kalmaegi Team of the Navy beat the Jebi Team of the Air Force in the 11 meter penalty kick.
A prize-giving ceremony was held amid the applause of the spectators.
Their pleasant and enthusiastic figures displayed in the stadium, adding to the joy of the significant holiday of April 25, clearly demonstrated the militant morale and mettle of the service personnel of the KPA holding the great Supreme Commander in high esteem. -0-
