Damir Davidova Russian military official in charge of supplying the battlefield with rocket and artillery ammunition, was killed in a car bomb attack near Moscow, Russian independent investigative portal The Insider reported.
The explosion occurred around 5:30 local time in the city of Balashikha, about 10 kilometers east of the Russian capital. Russian authorities have confirmed that a man was killed in the explosion, but have not officially released his identity.
The explosive device, the strength of which was estimated at 300-400 grams of TNT, was placed under the driver’s seat.
According to The Insider, eyewitnesses said that Davidov was still alive immediately after the explosion and that he succumbed to his injuries after the arrival of the ambulance.
The explosion occurred less than a kilometer from the place where in April 2025, in a similar bomb attack, Lieutenant General was killed Jaroslav MoskalikDeputy Chief of the Main Operational Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Army.
The attack took place in the Aviatorov district, a neighborhood originally built for Russian military personnel and their families. According to Astersthe Russian Ministry of Defense allocates apartments there to military pensioners, war veterans and family members of military personnel.
Ukraine has previously carried out attacks on Russian military officials involved in the war, but so far there is no evidence that Kiev is responsible for this explosion.
The investigation is ongoing, and the Russian Investigative Committee has initiated criminal proceedings.
