THE EMBASSY OF Japan has announced that applications are now open for the Japanese Government-funded 2027 Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) Scholarship Programme.This programme provides outstanding students from overseas with opportunities to pursue higher education in Japan, while promoting international exchange and fostering global talent.
The Embassy in a notice said it is accepting applications from individuals seeking to pursue a Master’s degree or higher. Successful applicants will receive coverage of entrance examination fees, admission fees and tuition fees, a monthly stipend, and round-trip return between Japan and their home country. The application deadline is June 1,2026, and there will be no extensions.
