Munnar School girls in lodge Tortured Police have arrested 2 people including a teenager from Tamil Nadu in the case. Suresh Balaji (22), a resident of Muniyakal, Kodaikanal, and his friend, a 17-year-old boy, were arrested from Kodaikanal. The incident happened last Monday.
Suresh met a girl through social media. He informed the boy that he would meet him in person at Munnar on Monday. Then the youth took a room in a lodge in Ikka Nagar. The students were taken to the lodge while they were going to board the bus from home and were tortured for 2 days continuously. After changing the uniform and wearing other clothes at the bus waiting center, they were brought to the lodge. Two days later, the information came out when the teachers questioned the students who came to school on Wednesday morning.
The youths were arrested from Kodaikanal following the information provided by the teachers. The teenager was produced before the Juvenile Justice Board in Thodupuzha. Suresh was produced in Devikulam court and remanded. A team led by Munnar SHO J. Binod Kumar and SI K. P. Anil Kumar arrested the accused.
