SUNWAY Lagoon introduces the Sunway Tiny Experience Factory (STEF) that brings together creativity and science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education through an immersive miniature vehicle manufacturing experience.
Occupying an approximately 189sq m space, featuring six immersive rooms, the attraction offers a complete miniature vehicle assembly experience encompassing both completely knocked down (CKD) and completely built up (CBU) production journeys.
Designed for guests of all ages, it combines interactive technology, hands-on learning and full-fledged customisation within an immersive factory-inspired environment.
Akin to an actual car assembly factory, the STEF transforms miniature vehicles into interactive experiences, where guests become active participants in the manufacturing journey.
From assembling miniature car components alongside robotic technology to customising their own miniature vehicle, visitors gain a deeper appreciation of how ideas evolve into finished products while creating a keepsake that is uniquely their own.
Guests will begin with an interactive factory briefing before choosing between the CBU or CKD production journey to customise a miniature Mini Cooper model car with a personalised laser-engraved licence plate to take home before receiving a personalised STEF Driving Licence and certificate.
The CKD experience, priced at RM69, introduces guests to the process of manually assembling a miniature vehicle from individual components, mirroring how real vehicles are delivered in separate parts before being assembled at their destination.
Guided through key assembly stages, guests will fit together the vehicle’s body, undercarriage and interior, before completing their creation with one of three roof designs.
Guests can also experience the complete vehicle production journey through an automated manufacturing process inspired by the CBU concept, available at RM99.
Across ten interactive stations, guests will follow the various stages involved in producing a fully assembled miniature vehicle, from die casting, spray painting and injection moulding to robotic component handling, automated assembly and ultraviolet (UV) printing.
The experience showcases how robotics, technology and precision engineering come together to enhance efficiency and innovation in modern manufacturing.

By participating in each stage of the production journey, visitors of all ages discover how engineering, creativity and technology work together in modern manufacturing. Through hands-on participation, the attraction transforms STEM learning into an engaging experience for children, families, students, hobbyists and collectors alike.

The attraction is now open at Sunway Lagoon, operating daily from 11am to 11pm and closed every Tuesday, except during Malaysian school holidays and public holidays.
