KNOX Hotels has secured the purchase of Hotel Lóu in Hvolsvell. The investment is part of the company’s continued development of the hotel market in Iceland.
This is stated in an announcement from KNOX hotels, which says that with the purchase, Hotel Lóa will be added to the collection of KNOX Hotels, which currently operates seven hotels across the country. The chain emphasizes that each hotel has a clear uniqueness and a strong connection to its local environment, while benefiting from synergies in operations and marketing and sales.
Hótel Lóa is a 66-room hotel in Hvolsvelli that has in a short time built up a strong position among tourists, not least because of its location near the main natural gems of the South. The hotel offers modern rooms, a restaurant and facilities suitable for both individuals and groups.
“Hotel Lóa fits well with our strategy to build a strong collection of hotels in key locations around the country, the south is one of the most important tourist destinations in Iceland and we see an opportunity for further growth there,” Hrefna Björk Sverrisdóttur, CEO of KNOX Hotels, was quoted as saying in the announcement.
