The 15th edition of the Grand Prix de Monaco Historique concluded in spectacular fashion on Sunday, April 26 with a packed programme of eight races providing a full day of action around the Principality’s iconic circuit.
Two drivers stood out across the event, with Stuart Hall and Michael Lyons each securing two victories to headline a weekend marked by intense competition and changing conditions.
The day began early with Series A2, where Mark Shaw delivered a commanding performance to take victory, setting the tone for a tightly contested schedule. In Series A1, late drama reshaped the outcome when race leader Richard Bradley was forced to retire on the final lap, handing the win to Patrick Blakeney-Edwards.
One of the standout battles came in Series B, where a three-way fight kept spectators on edge before the Ferrari of Joseph Colasacco emerged on top. In contrast, Series D saw disappointment for Jean Alesi, who was unable to start due to a last-minute mechanical issue despite extensive overnight repairs. The race was ultimately won by Michael Lyons, who began building his double success.
Weather conditions added further unpredictability later in the day, as rain affected the closing stages of several races. In Series E, tricky conditions at La Rascasse caught out multiple drivers, allowing Stuart Hall to capitalise and secure his first win of the day under yellow flag conditions.
Elsewhere, Richard Wilson dominated Series C with a controlled drive, while Lyons returned to the top step of the podium in Series F to claim his second victory of the event.
The final race of the weekend, Series G, provided a fittingly dramatic conclusion. Despite interruptions, Stuart Hall held his nerve to take his second win, sealing an impressive double and bringing the curtain down on the event in style.
With strong crowds and a record turnout reported across the weekend, the Historic Grand Prix once again confirmed its status as one of Monaco’s most cherished motorsport events. The next edition is already scheduled for May 2028, when the classic racing spectacle will return to the streets of the Principality.
