The highly skilled and experienced High Park United defeated Caesar’s Real Estate San Souci Blazers 59-27, to take the Senior Division of the 2026 Island Sipz Valley Sports Committee Richland Park Netball Competition on Sunday, August 23, at the Richland Park Government School hard court.
Prior to the senior final, 3 J’s Valley Strikers saw off Hard Knocks 49-44, in the third place play off.
High Park United thus join S &D Success Netters, the Junior champions as this year’s top teams. Leading Netters’ success was Phoebe Ferdinand who was the named overall Most Valuable, and that of her team, Success Netters. She was also named the Best Attacking player in the division. Okayla Richards, CMT Handmade with Joy, and Vannette James, VSports Youths also stood out in the tournament.
Richards was CMT Handmade with Joy’s MVP as well as the Best Defensive Player, whilst Vanette James of VSports Youths was her team’s MVP and the Best Mid-court player.
Copping the Most Promising Player award was Sherese Paul of VSports Youths.
In the Senior Division, Shackell Davis of champions High Park United, was the overall MVP among the seniors. She was also her team’s MVP and the Best Attacking Player.
The evergreen Skiddy Francis, of High Park United was the top goal scorer with 198 goals, whilst Monelle Lavia of Caesar’s Real Estate San Souci Blazers was named the Best Defensive Player, and Tahlia James of 3J’s Valley Strikers, the Best Midcourt player.
The other MVPs were Oriette Bobb of Hardknock Lightning Strikers; Teyanna James of 3 j’S Valley Strikers and Shannette Cruickshankof Caesar’s Real Estate San Souci Blazers.
