He homicide of a PedidosYa delivery man in it Montevideo Center generated commotion in the last hours. The victim, Juan Carlos, 62, died after being stabbed following an argument with a 30-year-old man. His son, Javier, spoke to the media this Tuesday and provided a strong defense in memory of his father.
“We were six years ago in Uruguay. He arrived first and was the one who told me: ‘son, come here, it’s going well here‘. That there was greater security and work, That’s when the whole family decided to come here.”he began recounting through tears in dialogue with Telemundo (Channel 12).
As he recalled, after his father, he was the first to travel to Uruguay, then his brother and finally his mother.
After this, he referred to the incident where his father died and pointed out that, according to witnesses, This was trying to defuse the conflict instead of aggravating it.
“I imagine that he was putting himself in order for what had to be done; it was not for the events that happened to happen,” he expressed and affirmed that his father “He was a very calm and hardworking person” that was always characterized by always seeing very “lively”.
“We want justice to be done, so that it does not go unpunished, the guys from PedidosYa want to raise their voices so that this does not remain just another fact”he concluded.
Javier’s murder
According to what was first reported by Telemundo (Channel 12) and as confirmed by El Observador, the murder occurred on 7:30 p.m. on Monday at the intersection of Cuareim and Colonia.
There, the driver of a car and Juan Carlos, who was working as a delivery, They started an argument that ended with the latter being stabbed..
After becoming aware of the incident, police officers quickly went to the scene and from there coordinated the transfer of the man to the Maciel Hospital, in Old City.
However, and despite arriving at the medical center alive, the 62-year-old victim died as a result of injuries sustained.
The perpetrator, a 30-year-old man, was later arrested by the Police and is at the disposal of Justice.
