Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, celebrated the launch of its seasonal flights to the city of El Alamein in the Arab Republic of Egypt, in a step that enhances air connectivity between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt.
On this occasion, Gulf Air CEO Martin Gauss received at Bahrain International Airport Reham Khalil, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Kingdom of Bahrain, along with a number of senior aviation sector officials, prior to the departure of the inaugural flight to El Alamein.
Upon its arrival at El Alamein International Airport, the flight received an official reception, which included the traditional water salute used to celebrate inaugural flights, while a reception was held on this occasion in the presence of a high-level delegation from Gulf Air, airport officials, and a number of invited guests.
Gulf Air’s operation of its seasonal flights to the city of El Alamein reflects its pivotal role as a major regional link, by providing more travel options for travelers and strengthening existing relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Arab Republic of Egypt.
The city of El Alamein is one of the seasonal destinations launched by Gulf Air within its network of destinations for the summer of 2026, which also includes Geneva, Malaga and Nice.
