    Engineer Wael bin Nasser Al-Mubarak, Minister of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture, confirmed that the Isa Town commercial complex project, which is expected to be opened during the last quarter of this year, represents one of the service projects implemented by the Ministry within the framework of continuing to strengthen the partnership with the private sector, and benefiting from its capabilities and expertise in developing and managing projects that contribute to raising the quality of services provided to citizens and residents.

    This came during his inspection visit to follow up on the progress of work on the commercial complex project in Isa Town after the completion of construction work, in the presence of Engineer Sheikh Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Undersecretary for Municipal Affairs, Abdullah Ibrahim Abdul Latif, Chairman of the Southern Region Municipal Council, Engineer Issa Abdul Rahman Al Buainain, Director General of the Southern Region Municipality, Mubarak Faraj Mubarak, Member of the Southern Region Municipal Council, representative of the Second District, and a number of Ministry officials, along with the project investor, Ramez Muhammad Al-Awadi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Group. Ramez International.

    He explained that the Ministry continues to implement its plans aimed at developing markets and service facilities according to modern standards, which contributes to making optimal use of municipal property, supporting commercial activity, and in line with sustainable development goals.

    He pointed out that the total cost of the project is 2.4 million dinars, while Ramez International Group is responsible for investing, constructing and operating it according to the signed usufruct contract, pointing out that the total usufruct allowance returned to the ministry during the contract period amounts to 1,975,214 dinars.

    He added that the commercial complex, built on an area of ​​16,765 square metres, will include sites designated for selling fresh vegetables and fruits, meat, fish, poultry and their derivatives, in addition to facilities and supporting services. It will also provide more than 500 additional parking spaces, which will contribute to meeting the needs of the people of Isa Town and the surrounding areas, and providing the best services to the project’s visitors.

    For his part, Ramez Muhammad Al-Awadi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ramez International Group, confirmed the group’s keenness to open the project according to the specified timetable, during the last quarter of the current year, indicating that the complex was designed according to the latest construction and operational standards, ensuring the provision of an integrated commercial and service environment that meets the needs of shoppers and market patrons.

    Al-Awadi pointed out that the project will include an integrated center for e-commerce service and order processing, which will support home delivery operations and enhance the speed and efficiency of meeting customer requests in Isa Town and the surrounding areas. He explained that this comes within Ramez International Group’s direction towards developing an integrated sales system that combines traditional and electronic shopping, keeping pace with digital transformation and meeting the growing needs of consumers.

    Al-Awadi praised the support and facilities provided by the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the private sector, which contributed to strengthening its role as a major partner in implementing development and service projects, which reflects positively on the national economy.

    For his part, Abdullah Ibrahim Abdul Latif, Chairman of the Municipal Council of the Southern Region, confirmed that the project is one of the vital projects that contribute to enhancing the services provided to the people of Isa Town and the surrounding areas, indicating that the project embodies the existing cooperation between the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture, the Municipal Council and the private sector, in a way that fulfills the aspirations of the people and supports local development.

    He added that the project represents an integrated logistics center that supports food security, supply chains, and e-commerce, by providing modern facilities for storage, refrigeration, and order processing, in addition to a specialized outlet for home delivery services, which enhances the readiness of the food sector and raises the efficiency of distributing products to consumers in various regions of the Kingdom. In turn, Mubarak Faraj Mubarak, member of the Municipal Council of the Southern Region and representative of the Second District, praised the progress witnessed by the construction work of the project, stressing that its opening will contribute to enhancing commercial activity and providing various services to the people of the region, as well as providing modern facilities that meet the needs of citizens and residents.
