Demand to settle her status before FIFA

Five Algerian clubs, including three from the First League, are currently on the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) list of teams subject to a ban on registering new players, a situation that may prevent them from signing contracts during the upcoming winter transfer period, scheduled from January 1 to February 1, 2027 in Algeria.
According to the updated list from the international body, Belouizdad youth are subject to a registration ban for a period of three registration periods, due to a penalty recorded on September 25, 2026.
For his part, Constantine’s youth are particularly concerned, as he faces four different decisions registered between September 29 and October 2, 2026, each of which stipulates that he will be banned for three periods of restriction.
The ban also applies for three periods to two other teams active at different levels: Al-Mustaqbal Al-Ruwaisat Municipality, with two decisions listed on September 17 and October 2, 2026, and Shabab Amal Ain Melilla, whose ban was recorded last August 12 and classified as broken until it is lifted.
Finally, Amal also appears on Wednesday on the FIFA platform with a ban decision listed on March 24, 2026, and also indicated as being in effect until it is lifted.
It should be noted that the presence of any club on the FIFA list means that it is prohibited from registering new players unless the penalty is met or officially lifted. Therefore, settling the financial or legal situation may allow the concerned clubs to regain their right to recruitment before the opening of the transfer market or during its period.
These developments come after several Algerian clubs witnessed a similar ban during the summer Mercato, as the Algerian Football Federation (FAF) explained last July that 27 clubs at various levels were concerned with the decisions to ban recruitment, stressing that no registration process could be carried out before the situation was fully settled and the procedure was officially lifted.
