A fire erupted on Monday, April 27, in Sector 5 of the Capital. The flames quickly engulfed two homes on Erou Toma Constantin street.
Update 11.20. “At this moment the fire is being extinguished, it appeared on an area of approximately 150 square meters”, he announces ISU.
Violent flames and risk of spread
According to the information provided by the authorities, the fire was intense on the roofs of two houses, with the danger of the fire spreading to nearby buildings. The representatives of ISU Bucharest-Ilfov stated that the intervention focused both on extinguishing the fire and protecting neighboring buildings.
“The fire manifests itself with a violent flame and large releases of smoke at the level of the roofs of two buildings (houses), ground floor with the possibility of spreading to the neighbors. We intervene both to extinguish the fire and to protect the buildings in the immediate vicinity. Up to this moment, they have not been registered casualty“, transmitted ISU Bucharest – Ilfov.
Extensive mobilization of emergency crews
To deal with the situation, the firefighters mobilized a consistent intervention device. Several fire trucks were sent to the scene, in stages, as well as specialized crews for interventions at height and extrication, along with medical crews STINK and SABIF.
Following the coordinated action of the intervention forces, the fire was located, and the firefighters continue the operations for the complete liquidation of the outbreaks. So far no casualties have been reported.
