Photographers across the region have until August 31, 2026, to enter the second annual Seas & Scenes: Love the Caribbean Photo Contest, organized by nonprofit Environmental Protection in the Caribbean (EPIC) in partnership with “Caribbean Compass” magazine.
A press release from EPIC said the free contest is offering more than US$3,000 in prizes, with 12 opportunities to win across four categories: Caribbean Life & Nature; Sailing, Yachting & Life on the Water; Environmental Impact & Stewardship; and Audience Choice. For the Audience Choice category, the public can vote up to five times each day.
The organization reports that more than 300 photographs have already been submitted, representing 26 Caribbean nations and territories, exceeding last year’s participation.
Entries in the three judged categories will be assessed by a regional panel with backgrounds in photography, conservation, sailing, journalism and Caribbean culture.
EPIC Executive Director Tabitha Stadler said this year’s submissions reflect the connections between Caribbean communities and the places they value, as well as themes of care and resilience.
The contest is sponsored by DSL Yachting and IGY Marinas St. Maarten, with additional prizes contributed by businesses and partners supporting Caribbean conservation and culture.
