FAITH campaign alert of fraudulent SMS that impersonate their identity. Messages inform users of a supposed “returned receipt” and include a link that redirects to a web page that pretends to be the official company and subsequently to a fraudulent payment gateway. The message is from a number of foreign phone, in this case of France.
As reported by the entity, cyber security teams have already worked to block the URL identified in these messages. However, they warn that cybercriminals they could continue the activity through new links or different domains.
FAITH remember that your communications always have as sender the name of the company and recommends distrusting messages sent from unknown numbers. It also advises always verify the domain of the links before accessing them and not to provide personal or bank details in case of doubt.
Faced with a possible phishing attempt, the company recommends Do not click on suspicious linkstake no sensitive action if there are signs of fraud and delete the message. In case of suspicion, it urges users to get in touch exclusively with FEDA’s official channels.
