The management team and the cloister of the Andorran secondary school of Encamp has asked the families that keep “very close to your sons and daughters” and let them talk at home about “the risks associated with the consumption of any type of substance”, health, self-protection, civility and the rejection of any violence.
The request was made in a letter sent to the families after the incident of May 11when one 14-year-old student had to be taken by ambulance after consuming LSD inside the center. The case is being prosecuted and, according to the Governmentit is an “isolated and punctual” episode.
The management team and the faculty note that “adolescence is a complex stage” and that the young people need “clear referents”. They also ask that students understand “responsibility for one’s actions” and the need to “ask for help” or communicate any situation that makes them feel “uncomfortable or in danger”.
