The Comú d’Encamp has “roundly” condemned the violent events which have taken place “in a timely manner” during the Village Festival and which are currently the subject of a police investigation.
The corporation notes that it is “isolated facts which do not represent the general behavior of the attendees or of the majority of young people” who have participated in the activities with respect and civility.
The common ensures that it maintains coordination with the police force and that it will not make assessments on specific cases out of respect for the ongoing investigation. “Violence has no place in the parish or in the festivities that take place there”, the corporation stated in a statement issued this morning.
Buhos fills Prat Gran in the Festa del Poble concert
owls filled the Prat Gran area in the concert of the Festa del Poble d’Encampas part of the tour of celebration of the group’s 20-year history. The audience chanted the themes of a repertoire that reviews two decades of career.
The Festa del Poble will continue today with the Festapa, from 6 to 11 p.m. in Plaça dels Arínsolswith the participation of sixteen catering establishments in the parish. Attendees will be able to vote for the best tapas and participate in a draw for a meal for two.
