After Paris, Rome, Venice and Saint-Tropez, Darren Star’s hit series will set up its cameras in the Principality for its sixth season. Filming is set to begin in May.
Having conquered the banks of the Seine, the narrow streets of Rome and the canals of Venice, Emily Cooper is set to explore the Rock. According to an exclusive report by the American magazine Variety, the hit series Emily in Paris is preparing to film its sixth season with Greece and Monaco as new locations. The announcement was confirmed during a special panel at PaleyFest in Los Angeles on 10 April, attended by creator Darren Star and the lead actors, including Lily Collins, Ashley Park and Lucas Bravo.
Filming scheduled for May to September
Production is scheduled to run from 11 May to 30 September 2026. At the press conference, Darren Star explained that the series follows the plot “organically” but will “never permanently leave its Parisian base”. Season 5, launched in December 2025, had accumulated 26.8 million views in eleven days and reached number one in 24 countries, prompting Netflix to renew the series as early as January 2026.
Monaco, a new playground for the heroine
Details of the Monaco-based plot remain under wraps, but the casino culture and the world of Formula 1 fit naturally with the series’ aesthetic. The Principality thus joins the list of glamorous settings that have featured throughout the six seasons of the Netflix romantic comedy, from the Place de l’Estrapade to the Colosseum. The release date for season 6 has not yet been announced, but a release in late 2026 seems likely.
