The Dominica State College (DSC) is preparing to welcome approximately 500 new students for Freshers’ Week 2026, scheduled for September 1–4.
According to a Dominica State College press release, the event comes shortly after the institution’s 26th Orientation Ceremony and will mark the official arrival of the Class of 2028.
The four-day programme will give incoming students an opportunity to complete orientation and registration activities while becoming familiar with the campus, college life and the resources available to support them.
DSC said the initiative is designed to help students make a smooth transition into higher education while giving them the tools and information needed to get off to a strong academic start.
Among the programmes attracting significant interest this year are the Certificate in Pre-Health, Associate Degree in Hospitality, Business Administration (General), Biology and Architecture, as well as the BSc in Business Management.
The new students will take part in activities throughout September 1–4 before classes officially begin on September 8.
DSC said it is looking forward to welcoming the new cohort and supporting them throughout their college journey, with a focus on their academic success, personal growth and the creation of lasting memories.
