The author deals with the life story of the late Egyptian-Danish immigrant Anan Al-Jalali From failing high school to washing dishes at the beginning of his life and selling newspapers in Austria and Denmark in the sixties, where the author had a friendship with the deceased and was the repository of his secrets.
As a diligent immigrant, Annan reached the friendship of kings, as he had a strong friendship with Prince Henrik of Denmark, the late husband of the Queen, who loved Egypt, and frequented Sharm El-Sheikh, Aswan, and Alexandria. He became the ambassador of historical relations between Denmark and the Arab world and a knight of the Danish flag.
The introduction to the book was written by Dr. Hassan Diab, former Prime Minister of Lebanon, who said: Anan Al-Jalali’s extraordinary journey is legendary in every sense of the word.
In this captivating biography, Dr. Mohamed Tharwat opens the doors to the life of one of the most influential hospitality pioneers of our time. Al-Jalali was born in Egypt and immigrated to Europe without qualifications or money, to become the owner and manager of a chain of the most successful hotels in Denmark and the world. With the strength of ambition and determination, he moved from below zero to the top of the hospitality pyramid in the East and West.
