The film “Welcome to the Moon” will have its world premiere in Nuuk on Thursday.
Maundy Thursday is there world premiere in Katuaq in Nuuk of the Danish film “Welkommen på Månen”.
The film is the Oscar-nominated director Aske Bang’s feature film debut, and the director has chosen to hold the premiere of the film in Nuuk to show sympathy:
“I have chosen to hold the world premiere in Greenland to show my sympathy for the Greenlandic people, who have been threatened for a long time by the world’s most powerful man.”
“The Greenlanders need to relax and get away from the many threats the country has been exposed to. We come to spread joy, laughter & good vibes,” Aske Bang says in a press release.
Welcome on the Moon is about the film director Bo, who is invited to his friend Martin’s bachelor party on the remote island, Møn. Bo is carrying a heavy secret that threatens to destroy their friendship, and over the course of the weekend strange things begin to happen.
