Political scientist Cristian Predaex adviser presidential under the mandate of Traian Băsescu, welcomes the decision of President Nicușor Dan to accept the version of a government minority, as a solution for solving the political crisis in Romania, and even makes a recommendation to the head of state for the position of premier.
In the opinion of Cristian Preda, Dragoș Pîslaru – former Minister of Investments and European Projects in the Bolojan Government – could be appointed prime minister.
Professor Preda presents this opinion in a message posted on the Internet, in the evening of June 23, 2026, immediately after President Nicușor Dan had completed the series of consultations with the delegations of the parliamentary parties, at the Cotroceni Palace. “The president accepted the solution of a minority government. It is an important step for solving the political crisis. If it were up to me, I would appoint Dragoș Pîslaru as prime minister”, writes Cristian Preda in the message posted on the Internet, in the evening of June 23.
As an argument for the appointment of Pîslaru as prime minister, Preda emphasizes that the interim minister “has been managing very well for a year PNRRand the most important design of the following months is precisely the PNRR”.
In the Bolojan Government, Pîslaru was Minister of Investments and European Projects, and after the withdrawal of the ministers from this government P.S.DPîslaru also ensured the leadership of the Ministry of Labor.
