The police in Buzău opened, on Monday, May 25, a criminal file in which investigations are being carried out under the coordination of the prosecutors, to establish the circumstances in which the almost four-year-old child died, who was torn apart by a shepherd dog in a yard near the house where the minor lived with his mother. The mayor of the Movila Banului commune, Romică Moise, says that he requested help from the Ambulance and the Police, after being called by the owner of the animal. According to the mayor, the mother would have been looking for the child for “some time” in the village, the mutilated body of the child being discovered by the owner of the dog.
The almost four-year-old child from the village of Limpeziș, who died after being bitten by a dog on Sunday evening, was the only child of his parents and was raised by his mother at her home, located in the vicinity of a goat pen, located on the outskirts of the village.
The mayor of Movila Banului commune, Romică Moise, says that he is the one who requested help from the Ambulance and the Police after he was called by the owner of the animal that allegedly caused the fatal injuries to the child who had not yet turned four years old.
“I am absolutely shocked, after 19.00 I was called by the owner of the dog and I alerted both the Ambulance and the Police. I understand that the mother was looking for the little one around the village for some time and he was found by the owner of the dog. The animal was tied up and I suspect that the little one went to give it something to eat, because there were some bites in the hand area. No one saw what happened, only the Police investigation can clarify things more detail”, said Romică Moise, the mayor of the Movila Banului commune in Buzău county.
According to the representatives of the Buzău County Ambulance Service, when the crew arrived, the child was dead and had several bite wounds.
The child had severe head, femur and neck injuries and died from massive haemorrhage.
According to reports from the scene of the tragedy, the little boy would have entered the yard where the animal was tied, and it would have rushed to him.
