Correction of untrue statements about the company Petrol
In the column by the author Bogdan Biščak entitled “Why Janez Janša is pushing for a minority government”, published on 22 April 2026 in the newspaper Diary and on the website www.dnevnik.si, in the section relating to the company Petrol, dd, untrue and misleading statements are stated.
It is not true to state or suggest that the Petrol company is connected to agreements according to which individuals would act in the interests of the Petrol company or any of its owners in exchange for political support, nor that any form of “golden parachute” is connected to this. Petrol is not involved in such agreements and has no such obligations or connections.
It is not true to state that the possible costs of any alleged “golden parachute” would be borne by the company Petrol, as such obligations do not exist.
It is also not true to state or suggest that the Petrol company acts as a sponsor of political actors or that it is involved in actions aimed at obtaining political benefits or influencing the formation of government.
