CNC3/Guardian Media Limited has secured the broadcast rights for the Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League (CPL) and the Women’s Caribbean Premier League (WCPL) in Trinidad and Tobago, giving fans access to extensive coverage of both tournaments.
Under the new agreement, CNC3 will provide live and exclusive coverage of every Trinbago Knight Riders match, both home and away, throughout the men’s competition.
All other CPL matches not involving the Trinbago Knight Riders will be available on a next-day delay, while the play-offs and finals will be broadcast live on a non-exclusive basis.
CNC3 will also carry the WCPL live and exclusively, reinforcing its commitment to expanding coverage of women’s cricket.
CPL Head of Media Partnerships and Business Development Francois Vainker says Trinidad and Tobago remains one of the tournament’s key markets.
“Trinidad and Tobago is one of the true heartlands of this tournament, and this partnership with CNC3 reflects how much we value that connection. Giving fans live and exclusive access to every Trinbago Knight Riders match, alongside the WCPL, means the passion for this league can be felt right across the market throughout the season.”
CNC3’s Head of Commercial Partnerships Tova Satnarine-White says the partnership will allow fans across the country to follow the action throughout the season.
“We are proud to bring Republic Bank CPL and WCPL cricket to Trinidad and Tobago fans this season. Every game will be available on CNC3, with exclusive coverage of the Trinbago Knight Riders campaign.”
She added that CNC3 will host viewing parties for all Trinbago Knight Riders away games and the finals.
The CPL season begins on August 7 and runs until September 20, featuring 39 men’s matches and eight women’s matches. Both finals will be played in Barbados.
