The Caribbean Media Exchange (CMEx) has announced its first seven honorees for the 2026 Leadership Awards, recognizing individuals whose work has contributed to tourism, media, sustainability and community development across the Caribbean.
The honorees are Anne Kalosh, Carmen Portela, Gercine Carter, Giora Israel, Jake Kheel, Jennifer Griffith and Josef Forstmayr.
They will be celebrated at the 2026 CMEx Leadership Awards and Fundraiser on Sunday, December 6, at the Loews Coral Gables Hotel in the Miami area.
“This year’s honorees represent the leadership, vision and spirit of service that continue to move the Caribbean forward,” said CMEx President Bevan Springer.
A second group of honorees will be announced later this month.
The annual event brings together tourism executives, government officials, media professionals and community leaders. Proceeds support CMEx programmes connecting tourism and media professionals, as well as educational and community initiatives.
