“Woe to those who manipulate religion and the very name of God for their own military, economic and political gain, dragging that which is sacred into darkness and filth.”
This short, sharp post on X from Pope Leo could not be clearer: religion is not something to be used for personal gain or as a justification for cruelty. To do so taints it.
