Canillo celebrated this Monday afternoon the mass in honor of Holy Crossin commemoration of the discovery of the cross by Saint Helena and of the consecration of the church of Holy Sepulcherwhere it was exhibited in the year 335.
The liturgical act, officiated by Monsignor Ramonhas taken place in the small church of the Holy Crossa temple of notable heritage value that is usually closed and that opens its doors exceptionally every September 14.
The ceremony was attended by the faithful and community representatives, headed by the junior consul of Canillo, Marc Casalwho wanted to participate in one of the traditional dates of the parish’s religious and cultural calendar.
As is the tradition, once the service has ended, a snack has been offered to the attendees, in an atmosphere of brotherhood and celebration.
Casal emphasized that the celebration allows “to keep devotion to the Holy Cross alive” and to strengthen the link between heritage, religion and community.
