Belgium, making its 15th appearance and fourth in a row, did not go beyond a 1-1 draw against Egypt, in the opening game of Group G of the Football World Cup, played in Seattle.
The Egyptians, playing in their fourth World Cup and led by Mohamed Salah, took the lead in the 20th minute, through Emam Ashour, but the Belgians equalized in the second half, in the 66th minute, with an own goal from Mohamed Hany, trying to prevent the ball from reaching Lukaku.
The Belgians and Egyptians are provisionally at the top of the Group, with one point, in a first round that ends with Iran-New Zealand, at 02:00 Portuguese on the 16th, in Los Angeles.
