Saadawi said that the success rate in the 2026 baccalaureate reached 56.18 percent, which increased by 5 percent compared to the results of last season, which reflects a noticeable improvement in the results, as he attributed the credit to the stable academic season and the high level of organization.
He added that he had communicated with the top achievers before the symposium, stressing that what had been circulated on social media during the previous hours had no basis in truth, warning of the necessity of obtaining information from the official page of the Ministry.

The Minister of National Education revealed the names of the top three nationally ranked students, as the student Qaroumi Bushra Hibatullah, from Bouzira Ahmed High School in Tiaret Province, Sports Technical Division, took first place, after obtaining a grade of 19.26 out of 20.
The second place went to the student Nasrallah Yaqin, from the Mathematics Secondary School in Kouba in Algiers, with a grade of 19.21 out of 20.
As for third place, it went to the student Saal Zainab Doaa, from the Special Education Institution “Al-Masir” in Al-Ashour in Algiers, Experimental Sciences Division, after obtaining a grade of 19.16 out of 20.
In the Youth of the Nation Schools category, student Qadriz Ziyad took first place, after obtaining a grade of 18.97 out of 20 in the Experimental Sciences Division.
Regarding the outstanding students in the People of Determination category, first place in the Visual Challenge category went to the student Maroush Abdel Basset, a student at Mohamed Boudiaf Secondary School in Afroun in Blida Province, Mathematics Division, with a grade of 17.57 out of 20.
In the Motor Challenge category, the student Bakouch Doaa, who is a teacher in Setif Province, Experimental Sciences Division, took first place, with a grade of 17.44 out of 20.
In the Auditory Challenge category, first place went to a candidate from the state of Batna, Mathematics Division, with a grade of 17.05 out of 20.
As for the children of the Algerian community abroad, the student Khalfa Meriem, who studies at the International School in France, achieved the highest average, reaching 17.38 out of 20.
The number of those who passed the baccalaureate exam for the 2026 session, according to statements by the Minister of National Education, Mohamed Saghir Saadawi, reached 327,29 students, both students and independents.
He explained that the number of those who received an excellent grade, with a grade equal to or greater than 18 out of 20, reached 1,232 successes, while the number of those who obtained an average between 16 and 18 out of 20 reached about 21,800 successes.
Regarding the ranking of the states, the state of Tizi Ouzou ranked first nationally with a success rate of 67.15 percent, thus maintaining the top spot in the ranking, followed by Relizane with 66.97 percent, Chlef with 66.07, Bel Abbes with 63.87, Ain Defla 63.20, Bejaia 62.93, Medea 62.56, Tiaret 62.54, and Ain Temouchent. 62.50, and finally Setif 62.47 percent.
