The television presenter and author of the weight loss manual “Summer without steam” boasted about her physical transformation on social networks and revealed to us what type of training suits her best.
Television host Antonija Blaće (46) has never been shy about speaking publicly about her struggle with pounds throughout her 22-year television career. In 2021, she also wrote a manual with weight loss tips “Summer without steam”. More than a year ago, she started again with a new regime, and in recent months she has noticed new results.
As she revealed to us, last year she had a health situation that caused her stress and restlessness, which was followed by weight gain due to a drop in concentration because she ate as soon as she arrived. So when she decided to take back control, she simply went back to her usual program that works—a calorie deficit with an emphasis on protein and exercise.
“I didn’t worry, I knew the result would come because losing weight is math. But this time I didn’t set a deadline, which is what I usually do. I lost weight very slowly – I managed to pay attention to my diet, but also sometimes break the rules. It could go faster, but you have to be very disciplined. I decided on this option in which I don’t give up too much. But, only now is there a real difference – when you have excess weight and lose a kilo, it’s almost not noticeable, but when you’ve already lost six or seven kilos, after that you can really see every next one,” says Antonija, who followed the regime she wrote in the manual “Summer without parea”, which emphasizes proteins and vegetables and controlling the intake of carbohydrates, fats and calories.
It was not difficult for her to get used to the change of lifestyle this time, but it is a tiring process that lasts a long time, so there is also a drop in concentration. However, he points out that it is okay to make mistakes, you just need to continue immediately at the next meal and somehow “use up” the excess calories that have been ingested.
“The other day I took a look at that booklet of mine and thought it was really good – today I would add more recipes, but the basics of weight loss mathematics are there. Nowadays, I get messages from women who joined me back then and lost weight with the book. Believe me, only those of us who have gone through these cycles know what it is. Those of us who have a sweet tooth always have the same challenges – the eternal war between long-term goals and a ‘you only live once’ attitude. On the one hand, what is life without appetite, and you can’t enjoy it every day, especially if it affects your health,” admits Antonija, who added physical activity to a balanced diet and supplements this time.
As she revealed to us, it is important to find training that suits each person. That’s how Antonija tried various exercises and finally found a combination that suits her – she loves the gym and lifting weights, and she also discovered EMS training, or so-called electrical training, which she goes to Speedfit, where the training is adapted to her needs, so the results are visible.
“And this time, my main motivation was to reach the weight at which I feel the best – when I’m in training, I’m easy on myself. But it doesn’t work without enjoying life either – smokes will touch me,” says the TV presenter with a laugh, who revealed to us her favorite guilty pleasure that she occasionally indulges in.
