The Clare Valley man who is alleged to have attempted to murder the aunt of Acting Director of the Agency for Public Information(API) Nadia Slater, has been granted bail in the sum of $20,000 after the court was informed that the woman was transferred out of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital to the female surgical ward.
Keswert Slater, 45, appeared at the Serious Offences Court before Chief Magistrate Colin John, on June 1 where he was granted bail for unlawfully and maliciously inflicting grievous bodily harm on Nadia Slater of Clare Valley.
Keswert was also charged with entering the dwelling house of Nadia Slater as a trespasser with intent to commit grievous bodily harm; and with intent to commit the offence of murder on Clare Valley resident, Jean Slater 72, who is Nadia’s aunt, did an act which is more than merely preparatory to the commission of the offence.
