Throughout the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, the phrase “Egypt is the heart of the Arab nation, the Arab East is its right wing, and the Arab Maghreb is its left wing” was not just a poetic description or a resonant speech repeated in pulpits. Rather, it was an accurate expression of the reality of power and the distribution of cultural, political and strategic weight in the Arab world. Egypt, with its central location, its human and cultural weight, and its historical role in renaissance and leadership, was truly the pulse that, if it stopped, the entire body of the nation would stop with it.
The Arab Levant – from Syria to Palestine, Jordan to Iraq, then south to the Gulf states and Yemen – was the natural extension that integrated with Egypt and formed with it an impenetrable strategic depth.
In the West, the Maghreb – from Libya to Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Western Sahara and Mauritania – constituted the complete left wing, unified in its history, identity and destiny, such that if it moved with the other wing and the heart, the nation soared high, and if it stopped or broke, the entire body became damaged and weak.
This is the map that we inherited from our ancestors and was established by the consciousness of our generations: a unity of heart and wings, complementary interests and unified goals. There is no strength for the East without the heart, and there is no completion for the body without the Western wing. This balance remained in place despite the calamities and differences it faced, until the external hegemony project began to weave its threads in secret, intending to turn the equation upside down: emptying the original heart of its strength, then replacing it with the enemy of the nation itself with a new heart, linking the two wings to it instead of to Egypt, and dismantling what was left of the body into weak, warring mini-states that had no stability or weight.
1- The New Heart Project… when the enemy becomes the center of the nation
The new project – whose features are unfolding day after day – is based on a shocking idea at its core: removing Egypt from the position of the heart, and placing the Zionist entity in its place as a center around which the entire region is managed. This is not merely an ideological ambition as one might think; Rather, it is a practical plan to be implemented step by step: it begins by neutralizing and weakening Egypt through the economic blockade, multiple pressures, and problems in its strategic depth, until it loses its ability to lead and becomes unable to perform its historical role. At the same time, the Zionist entity is focusing its efforts to present itself as a “superior model”: a technical, security and economic force, with which countries are linked neither to Egypt nor to each other, so that loyalty gradually shifts from the nation and its history to the enemy and its entity.
Instead of the unified Arab Levant – the original right wing – work is being done to dismantle, destroy and divide it, then link the Gulf states and the East directly to the “new heart” through what was called the “Abraham Accords”. The UAE was the first to be placed in this position: providing money and outlets, opening its lands to the security and technical presence of the Zionist entity, and coordinating its policies in the region according to what is drawn up in Tel Aviv, not in the Arab capitals. Thus, I want the UAE to be the new “right wing”: it is not supplied by Egypt and is not connected by an Arab depth, but rather pulsates directly from the Zionist entity and moves under its direction.
In the West, instead of the unity of the Arab Maghreb, which constitutes a force to be reckoned with, work was done to dismantle it and isolate its parts, and then link the Kingdom of Morocco directly to the “new heart” as well, to be the “left wing” of the new project: coordinating security and intelligence, signing arms and technology deals, and opening its scope to influence, while gradually moving away from its Maghreb and Arab depth – and even contradicting it – until it becomes a western extension of the entity’s hegemony. While others were carried away by the “gains of the moment,” Algeria realized early on that what was intended to be drawn on the map was not mere alliances or natural relations, but rather it was robbing the nation of its identity, history, and destiny, and an attempt to impose the enemy’s hegemony over the nation’s entire land under false, bright slogans.
Algeria did not wait for the plan to be completed and impose a reality that could not be changed. Rather, it began to warn, take initiative, and build alliances of awareness and common interest. I realized that the battle would not be fought all at once; Rather, it will be in stages, and in multiple fields. So she chose to start where the project began to expand and provoke: from the African coast. This is because the Sahel region was considered the gateway through which the axis consisting of the four countries – the Zionist entity, the Emirates, Morocco and France – hoped to enter deep into Africa, control its wealth and sites, and tighten the cordon around those who opposed them. And there, precisely where the plan was almost succeeding, Algeria appeared with all its historical, military and strategic weight.

The striking situation was when Algeria provided the State of Niger – in the face of attempts to destabilize it – free qualitative military aid: combat aircraft, transport and fueling aircraft, and combat helicopters, all of this for free and without conditions. It was a powerful message in every sense of the word: there is a real alternative to conditional money and humiliating dependency; An alternative that gives you your weapons, your sovereignty, and your dignity together.
At that moment, the entire Axis argument collapsed. The Sahel countries, which were being pressured to choose between “chaos” and “protecting the axis” – that is, between death and dependence – discovered that a third path existed: an alliance with those who respect your sovereignty and provide you with help at no cost. Thus, the project in the Sahel came to a halt, the Axis’ plans froze, and the balance began to change rapidly: Niger, Mali, and Burkina Faso began moving towards an alliance with Algeria, and refused to be dependent on those who would buy their loyalty with their wealth and sovereignty. Thus, the Axis lost its first stronghold on the coast, and the tool of chaos that it had managed to impose its influence disintegrated.
Algeria did not stop at the coast; Rather, her eyes were on other fields in which the project was moving. Therefore, every time Algeria takes a step forward, the influence of the Axis powers (the Zionist entity, Morocco, the Emirates, and France) diminishes, and the size of its so-called “wings” diminishes until each of them returns to its true, natural size: a state that respects its borders, sovereignty, and relations with its brothers, not arms moved by Tel Aviv to direct the region however it wants. With the project dwarfed and balance restored, the truth they tried to obscure becomes clear: Egypt will remain the heart of the Arabs no matter how weak it is, and the East and West will remain the wings of the nation whenever they agree and return to their heart. The project that almost took over the Arab world and fragmented it into mini-states began to retreat and collapse – not only with aircraft weapons, but with a deeper awareness and a higher alternative: that the nation is not led by its enemy, nor does its security derive from those who declare war on it.
5- Awareness defeats money and weapons
What recent events have revealed is that the external projects imposed on our Arab region with money, weapons, and technology, even if they appear strong and precise, remain unable to cancel out the facts of history, geography, and conscience. They tried to replace the heart and came up with the enemy of the nation. They tried to install wings and made them out of paper and money. They tried to separate the body and found someone to unite it and establish it.
And here is Algeria – by standing at the front of the line – providing the Arab world with an eloquent lesson: sovereignty cannot be bought or sold, and security is not derived from the enemy, no matter how much money and technology he gives, and the real alternative to hegemony is not resistance with words but rather the initiative in giving without price, and building alliances based on brotherhood and common interest, not on subordination and imposed loyalty.
The project almost succeeded if the “Algerian giant” had not woken up early, seen what no one else had seen, and moved at the right time from the right place. Today, as we see the wheel of the project turning on the coast, shaking in Libya, and facing a solid wall in the Western Sahara, what we should have always known is confirmed to us: the map of the nation is not what the enemy draws on paper; Rather, it is what the will of the people engraves in their consciences, and no matter how long time passes and how the balance changes, Egypt will remain the heart of the Arabs, the East and West its wings, the usurping entity an enemy, not a heart, and the stranger an accident, not an original.
