Maulvi Mia Muhammad Wali Siddiqui, head of border, tribes and tribal affairs of the said province, told Bakhtar News Agency that the enmity between the families of Niaz Muhammad and Mir Aajm Khan was about 140 years ago, due to which a member of one of the families was killed.
He added that after the establishment of the conflict prevention commission, the process of resolving interpersonal conflicts has accelerated and this is the 113th conflict in Khost province, which is resolved with the cooperation of tribal leaders and reformers.
According to him, all the recorded interpersonal disputes are being monitored and efforts are being made to resolve them.
Haji Shroff Thani, on behalf of the tribal leaders of Tanio district, asked the tribal leaders and youths to intensify their efforts to resolve the conflicts between them.
He said, ethnic leaders and youth have an important role in solving social problems and this is their national and religious responsibility.
Also, one of the participants of the ceremony, Maulvi Muhammad Daud Tarabi, said that now is a good opportunity to resolve the conflicts between nations, tribes and families through dialogue and understanding.
He asked the tribal leaders to avoid those wrong traditions and words that lead to the continuation of hostilities.
At the end of the ceremony, Maulvi Ehsanullah, the Khatib of Thanio District, read the reconciliation resolution, which both families expressed their satisfaction and promised to live in an atmosphere of brotherhood, peace and mutual respect.
It is worth noting that the reconciliation ceremony ended with the ritual of “demolishing hats” and giving necks between the heads of the two families according to the Pashtun tradition, and with this, a new phase of friendship and reconciliation between the two families began.
