The National Federation of Hotels and Tourism expressed its denunciation of every action that would harm national symbols or diminish their moral and historical value, in the case of the incident of desecration of the national flag in a hotel in the capital.
The federation stated, in a statement today, that the national flag is not just a physical symbol, but rather it is the symbol of national sovereignty and the embodiment of the sacrifices of millions of martyrs who ransomed the nation with their pure blood, which requires everyone to exercise the utmost respect and responsibility in dealing with it.
The Federation called on all economic operators, hotel institutions, and organizers of various demonstrations and events to strengthen awareness and follow-up procedures, be careful when renting multi-service halls, and ensure respect for applicable laws and regulations, ensuring the preservation of national symbols and avoiding the occurrence of such practices in the future.
The Ministry of Tourism had taken strict measures against the hotel and withdrawn its exploitation license. The ministry took action after the controversy and anger that the incident caused among citizens.
